Thinking of New Cameras? Add AI Software Instead
The hardware upgrade question
When safety concerns come up, the instinct can be to look at hardware first. Maybe your cameras are a few years old, or you're wondering if newer models would help.
Staff can't watch every camera at once. A moment on a camera no one is looking at can be missed.
What a new camera won't change
A new camera might offer a sharper picture. But a camera on its own doesn't tell anyone what it sees.
Cameras capture. They don't comprehend.
How AI software works with your cameras
AI software looks at the video, identifies possible safety concerns and notifies the staff your school chooses. Rather than replacing hardware, it adds analysis to what your cameras capture.
What VOLT adds
VOLT is built to notice moments: a fall, a possible fight, someone where they shouldn't be. VOLT detects possible handguns, long guns, and knives visible to the camera. VOLT keeps visually tracking a person by appearance after they've been identified with a visible weapon, even once the weapon is hidden.
A VOLT reviewer checks a moment by default before staff are notified. The alert names what was seen and where; the email and the VOLT app show the camera view.
| Capability | New cameras | AI software (VOLT) |
|---|---|---|
| Visible handguns, long guns and knives | Depends on the system | Yes |
| Possible fight | Depends on the system | Yes |
| Possible person after hours | Depends on the system | Yes |
Privacy
VOLT does not use facial recognition. VOLT does not put a name on anyone.

Work with your existing cameras
VOLT works with CENTEGIX, so moments from VOLT can sit alongside your existing safety tools. Staff sign in with your school's single sign-on through SAML SSO. Schedule a demo to see how VOLT works with your cameras.
