Protect the worst day. Improve every day.
Pennsylvania schools and districts have defined 2026–27 grant allocations. VOLT helps districts turn existing cameras into a proactive intelligence layer for weapons, fights, medical emergencies, unauthorized presence, crowds, response and investigation.
VOLT provides grant-alignment information; PCCD determines final eligibility and allowability.

Why VOLT aligns with the PCCD Grant.
Pennsylvania identifies security planning and security-related technology as an eligible activity, with examples that include camera licensing, surveillance software, active camera monitoring, offsite monitoring and intrusion-detection technology.
PCCD Grant
Security planning and purchase of security-related technology.
Review the official announcement →New deployment or expansion
Use grant funds to add capability beyond an existing budget—not to replace a budgeted recurring expense.
Level 1 or assessment support
Advanced physical-security spending may require Level 1 readiness or a qualifying assessment recommendation.
Open and free competition
Districts must follow PCCD and applicable school-entity procurement requirements.
One intelligence layer across the full safety day.
A visible weapon may be the worst event a school faces. Safety teams also manage everyday incidents—fights, medical emergencies, unauthorized presence, loitering, crowds and investigations. VOLT is designed to create value across both critical events and everyday incidents.
Weapons and active threats
Human-verified awareness, location context and tracking across the camera environment.
Fights and aggression
Bring safety teams faster awareness of violence and behavioral escalation.
Medical and person-down events
Support faster awareness and configurable notification for urgent medical situations.
Unauthorized presence
Monitor defined areas, schedules and access conditions for unexpected activity.
Loitering and crowd formation
Identify developing situations that can require staff awareness before escalation.
Investigation and reporting
Review incidents in minutes, follow movement across cameras and document what happened.
Weapons, tracking and rapid response
Human-verified alerts, location context, cross-camera tracking and configurable response paths.
Violence, medical, access and investigation
Broader use cases help the district realize value from its camera investment beyond a single incident type.
See the event. Understand it. Route the response.
Detect
VOLT analyzes compatible existing camera streams for configured safety events.
Verify
Human review adds context before designated responders receive actionable information.
Respond
Route alerts through district workflows and supported integrations, subject to configuration.
Investigate
Review incidents, follow movement and support reporting after the immediate event.

What district teams should know.
Is VOLT pre-approved for this PCCD grant?
No vendor should be presented as automatically approved. VOLT appears to align strongly with the PCCD Grant’s eligible security-technology examples, but PCCD determines final allowability for each district’s proposed project.
Can VOLT work with our existing cameras?
VOLT is designed to work with compatible existing camera and VMS environments. A camera compatibility review confirms the district’s specific infrastructure and implementation requirements.
Why evaluate broader intelligence instead of only gun detection?
Weapon readiness is essential. A broader platform can also support fights, medical situations, unauthorized presence, loitering, crowds, tracking and investigation—creating operational value across more of the school safety workload.
Can grant funds renew an existing budgeted contract?
Pennsylvania’s non-supplantation rules can restrict using grant funds for items already included in the district’s annual budget. New deployments or unbudgeted expansions are generally stronger positioning, subject to PCCD review.
